To Beginner: How to Become a Good Driver Quickly and Without Accidents

How hard it is to pass a driving test! Everyone remembers the feeling of fear, trembling knees and excitement. But all in good time, and the moment comes when the hard stage of exams is over. You joyfully receive the license and count on relief… But there was no way! Now it is up to you to drive on the road, where you have to cope with all the problems yourself, and most importantly, correctly and quickly!

How to become a good driver

1. The most important thing behind the wheel: do not focus on the assessment of others!

Focus only on their feelings of strength and skills. Now the most important thing for you – the correct calculation of their strength, not the approval of anyone. On the road there are many drivers who “impose” their behavior. You can ignore, point-blank to not see, cut off, bibichat when you have to wait, a lot of fawning (especially beginners) – in general, no one gives good marks on the road. What are only different maneuvers of parking, U-turns, exit from a secondary road to the main one in a saturated traffic! With each such situation with all the fibers and the back you feel the negativity in your address. And if you go too slow? And what if you could not fit into the corner from the first time? What can I say… Every beginner driver will understand me… How paralyzing is fear and uncertainty, when there is no “evil” instructor near you, but there is an angry, aggressive, angry, hurrying motorist honking his horn. In all of these situations, I mentally repeated to myself, “I’m still a beginner. Yes, I am bad at driving and especially at parking. So what now? You were like that yourself, you just forgot about it! So I’m sorry, brother, but until I learn, I’m going to get in the way. And in order to become a good driver in the future, I will now interfere with you a lot and a lot. To learn…”.

2. Increase your self-confidence!

People, feeling your self-confidence, begin to treat you with dignity. Don’t be afraid of appearing inept (inept), goofy (stupid), etc. Be daring and learn without looking back! But carefully and wisely. By the way, dash cams record everything that happens on the road while you’re driving. Check out the best deals on dash cams here.

3. Don’t be afraid to be yourself!

In fact, doing things your own way is the winningest option. In my beginner’s practice, there have been situations where I was afraid to pass in a tight space and impatient drivers were honking their horns behind me. Then I would get out of the car and say: “I’m afraid I won’t fit in here. Please help me get through.” The honking stopped and people helped.

4. Look at life with humor!

A different joke will quickly defuse the situation and introduce positivity, which we sometimes lack…

5. Never, never imagine yourself a super-driver!

As soon as you imagine yourself like that, and immediately life will show you who the real master (life itself). Believe me, on the road (and everywhere) there is always something to learn! So stay alive and be a careful student! Look here how to park.

Сonclusion

In conclusion of a theme I want to give the personal useful advice to all drivers. Do not get behind a wheel in the unbalanced condition. If you are able to bring yourself into order, be sure to do it before a trip, give yourself the right attitude. If you cannot tidy yourself up, and your condition is unbalanced, leave the car until tomorrow! Driving a car is like meditation. It’s vital to be here and now on the road.

You know the difference between people who get into accidents and people who don’t? Not by experience (although experience is important), but by overconfidence, lack of “mental clarity”. I call “mental clarity” a state when you care about absolutely nothing, when all feelings and emotions are absent. You are in the here and now. There are no thoughts, no worries, joys or upsets. Just the road and the feeling (in relation to the road), you are everything. In this, in the right state, you will feel where it is worth going and where it is not.

In the same way, with your gut, you will feel when to brake (and then make sure that you have done correctly, when a pedestrian suddenly jumps out on the road, you will feel when it is worthy to make a maneuver, and when not, and at what speed. The main thing is not to clog your head with thoughts and logical reasoning, and do everything by inner intuition, without questioning it. And, of course, it is very important to interpret correctly, to understand your true feelings. Good luck to you and easy rudder!
